- 3rd (Project: Multiplication/Division)
- We'll have students compare/contrast two strategies for multiplying and use pictures, equations and words on a page to explain their reasoning.
- I would recommend having something written down in their math journal prior to tech time to save time. I'll show them how to access photos from the web to use as their pictures.
- 4th (Project: "States" Tourism Commercial for Kids) *click here to view project description
- We'll have students work on beginning to research their state using sites I have pasted on each of your 4th grade Weebly websites. We'll plug in the info as we go into Pic Collage -- then uploading into MyStory to narrate. I'll see if Lacey (CJ) and Anna (VV) can maybe offer some time in library to allow students to continue their research.
- 5th *VV only-Jess and Donna (Project: using the newspaper to conduct research and determine bias)
- We'll choose one article that has a statistic/table/graph on it and we'll summarize the findings in Popplet lite
- Other web resources for news for kids
- 5th *CJ only-Erin and Ray (Project: Book reviews)
- 2 thoughts -- your students could do a book review summarizing the literary elements of a primary book they enjoyed OR a more grade-appropriate book they are reading/have read.
- Whatever you want them to do is fine, but make sure they know what book they are doing before tech time, and have them write down on paper a few literary elements before tech (this doesn't need to be that elaborate - we can add more as we go)
App: Educreations *click to see a "working" sample --I only added audio to Slide 1, but students would get the idea and continue to narrate in the same format the other slide explaining their 2 strategies.
